Ray Pitts brings three decades of surety experience to his role as President of Allied North America of Texas, where he has helped build this Dallas-based agency into one of the most prominent insurance brokerages in Texas.

Since founding the office in 1997 with partner Mike Abbott, Ray has created a solid infrastructure for this growing business, featuring a staff of experienced professionals who are among the most respected in the business. Recognized for his unparalleled surety expertise, Ray:

	Develops and manages customized contract and non-contract surety programs to meet the specific needs of his broad base of clients from the street and road construction, oil and gas and heavy trucking industries.
	Leverages his unique “insider’s perspective” – having spent 10 years as a surety underwriter – and strong relationships with leading surety brokerages to ensure his clients’ bonds are underwritten, executed and delivered efficiently.

Ray joined Allied as Executive Vice President and Director of Surety and was promoted to President of the Texas brokerage in 2000. A prominent figure in the brokerage business, Ray previously worked at three leading national insurance and surety brokerages. He began his insurance career in 1976 as a surety bond underwriter for a major national insurance company.

A member of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, the Construction Financial Management Association and the Association of General Contractors, Ray also holds a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from the University of North Texas.
