Jericho, NY, March 17, 2008 – Allied North America, the leading independent insurance and surety brokerage serving the construction industry, has appointed Alejandra Evans as Executive Vice President of Business Development.
Recognized for her wrap-up insurance expertise and local market development skills, Evans is charged with growing Allied’s Miami and Washington, D.C. offices, as well as its national wrap-up subsidiary Project Technologies International (PTI). She leads a team that will bring strategic risk management solutions to the Mid-Atlantic construction market, while serving as a valuable resource to clients from coast-to-coast.
“Alex’s proven track record of building market-winning teams and processes, in addition to client-driven, cost-effective programs, makes her a true asset to Allied as we look to strengthen our regional presence in key markets as well as our in-house expertise,” says Henry Lombardi, President and Chief Operating Officer of Allied North America.
Evans, who reports to Lombardi, began her insurance career in 1989. She is lauded by clients for her strategic thinking and superior customer service, and has successfully led wrap-up programs that delivered comprehensive protection and substantial cost savings for several major construction projects.
“My client service philosophy is a simple one,” Evans explains. “We must deliver superior and consistent value to clients in all areas of their engagement with us. At the end of the day, if the client wins, we all win. That’s the bottom line.” To that end, Evans uses what she calls a “holistic” risk management approach. This approach focuses on “an in-depth analysis of each client’s business, competitive environment and challenges” that she then uses to create strategic risk management solutions tailored to their specific situation.
“I am excited to be part of Allied and to lead the strategic growth of key markets such as D.C. and Miami as well as Wrap-Ups nationally,” says Evans. Prior to joining Allied, Evans held positions of increasing responsibility at major national insurance brokers, and was most recently responsible for building a thriving operation in the D.C. area.
